Position: This is an extraordinary opportunity for a driven, tenacious sales professional. We have built a best in class big data platform that has tremendous potential for growth. We are looking for someone to work with our CEO to generate demand and pursue customer opportunities, while helping build the sales capability at Silectis from the ground up.
Be the first sales representative at a growing Platform as a Service company with a track record of success building big data solutions for enterprises.
Close the key customer accounts that will build out the case studies and word of mouth that will ignite growth.
Develop an overall sales approach and process that can work in the near-to medium-term.
Source leads, develop them, and deploy the right resources to get to a close.
6 to 10 years of experience as a sales representative selling enterprise technology
Recent experience as field representative with a territory.
Proven track record of building pipeline and closing business in a startup technology company.
Experience working at an “unbranded” technology company. I.e., ability to make the case absent strong brand recognition.
Experience selling into technology organizations. Able to create a rapport with CIOs, CTOs, Directors of Engineering, etc.
A willingness to handle lead generation in the near-term.
A desire to help forge the overall sales approach and culture as the company grows.
An existing network of contacts in the technology sector at large and medium size companies as both a source of opportunity and as a source of feedback around sales approach, messaging, and the platform itself.
Ability to pull together presentation materials, proposals, and other collateral with help from the rest of the team.
Ability to customize sales materials to address specific client needs and concerns.
Ability to create articulate, personalized communications to prospects that help move opportunities forward and deepen relationships.
Extraordinary communication and interpersonal skills. The finesse to manage interactions with prospects, push when necessary, and back off when appropriate.
The drive to uncover opportunity through both traditional demand generation and creative, non-traditional approaches.
Experience negotiating SaaS subscription contracts with large and medium-sized companies.
